Our programs run successfully thanks to your support. All Capital members are required to contribute 6 volunteer hours each season. Here are a few great ways to help out:

Capital Adaptive RowingProgram (CARP)


    • Mon – Thur: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
    • Saturday (1st shift): 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM
    • Saturday (2nd shift): 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Responsibilities: Help carry boats, assist athletes with equipment, and row with athletes.

Learn to Row

When: Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 am–12:00 pm

Responsibilities: Coxing, rowing, carrying boats, etc.

ContactLTR Coordinator


When: Usually the last Sunday of each month, 9:30 AM–12:00 PM (see ACBA events calendar).

Responsibilities: Pick up recyclables and trash, removing invasive species, clearing and mulching around shrubs, planting new trees or shrubs.

Sunday Sweep Coxing

When: Sundays @ 7:00AM – 9:00AM

Responsibilities: Coxing sweep boats, steering, and yelling at rowers.

Responsibilities: Assisting with various land and water based duties for Capital and ACBA regattas. Opportunities will be posted at the link below when available.
