The 11th Annual Capital Sprints Regatta
Saturday, July 10, 2010
Registration opens Monday, May 31.

Capital Rowing Club is pleased to announce that the 11th Annual Capital Sprints Regatta will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010!!  Please set aside July 10th on your summer racing schedules and come to the Anacostia for a day of great racing and fun!

New Location!!! This is a historic race for us as it is not only the 11th Annual Regatta but it also marks the first Capital Sprints at the new Anacostia Community Boathouse located further upstream.  The new location has a new 300 foot long wooden launch/recovery dock connected to the shore by three gangplanks. We also have a huge parking area for trailers and tents: plus excellent shoreline viewing of the last 250 meters of the race course. Plus, Ronin Racing will be onsite providing real time finish results!

All races will be 1000 meters.

We will run Junior, Open and Master's categories in each event where there is interest.

We will be recognizing the AA Master's category again this year and hope to be able to provide great competition for all entry interests.

We will again host a picnic to feed the competitors and their fans following the races!

Please register for Capital Sprints on Ronin Racing.

Annual Capital Sprints Regatta Directions:

As there is construction in our river this season, we all need to pay extra attention to safety.  This presentation highlights what we should watch out for and shows our new safety procedures for this season.  Be sure to be familiar with the lanes through the bridges!
